And may peace be on the lights of guidance and lamps of darkness, and his word of piety, the luminaries of guidance and the strong handle, the proofs of God upon the people of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To proceed, it should be clear to all people within Islam that my dear friends often used to ask me about the reality of the ascension (mi\u02bfr\u0101j<\/em>) and the secrets and events of the ascension. They also used to request this humble person to provide a rational explanation, and this lowly person would avoid answering due to the seriousness of the issue. The reason being that although subtle meanings and hidden symbols are present and exist in the incapable mind (of mine), it would cause major harm to manifest them until such a time that a virtuous person of complete intellect is not present and being addressed. Since it would be futile to discuss it with an unacquainted person, and the speaker would be blameworthy. Therefore, the master (sayyid<\/em>) of the universe has stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the saying of the elders of the creed is famous where they state:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And explaining the secrets in front of the people of virtue means to truly deliver them (to those worthy). Withholding secrets from the intelligent person is equally abhorrent as putting them in front of an ignorant person is a mistake. Since the people of false faiths and possessors of new sciences have seen the story of the ascension and made illegitimate attacks against Islam, labelling the narrations and sayings of the truthful ones (i.e., the Ahl al-Bayt) invalid and void, this lowly person was reluctant for a long time about what to write? For if I disclose the secrets, the listeners should not be unworthy and outsiders. And if I withhold, those who are worthy would be deprived. Despite the fact that the great and magnanimous father of this lowly person, who is of noble lineage and is a pilgrim of the two noble sanctuaries, \u1e24\u0101j\u012b Sayyid Jam\u0101\u02bfat \u02bfAl\u012b \u2013 may All\u0101h extend his elevated shade (i.e., give him a long life) \u2013 persisted that something about the narrative of the Mi\u02bfr\u0101j<\/em> should be written. This saying of the praised person (my father) needed to be followed, so this step was taken, and an exposition of the secrets and hidden symbols of the ascension was postponed for the time being because the listeners of this are rare. Now, we delve into merely proving the bodily ascension to the extent which the intellect helps this lowly person. And reliance on the generosity of that honorable person is that if you see a blemish, look at it from the eye of forgiveness so that the blemish might also seem to be benign. I seek assistance from God almighty (ayzad-i-muta\u02bf\u0101l<\/em>), and with All\u0101h is my success, and upon Him is my reliance. This treatise was named ris\u0101lah mi\u02bfr\u0101jiyya<\/em> and divided into two sections. The first is on proving the bodily ascension, whereas the second is on the story of ascension of the master of the universe (\u1e63).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
